paragliding
The first question of many considering paragliding is: "How many meters do we jump from?" The answer: nowhere.
There is no jumping in paragliding. At takeoff, you run 3-4 steps, and the wing carries you from the very first step. There is no feeling of falling into a void.
How does takeoff work?
- 3-4 steps of running: Just run a few steps together with your pilot.
- The wing carries you: The wing starts lifting you up from the very first step.
- Smooth transition: When your feet leave the ground, you are not in a void, but already gliding.
